RETROFEST69 TO HOST A TRIBUTE CONCERT TO BENEFIT THE "FEEL THE
MUSIC" PROGRAM, WHICH PROVIDES FREE MUSIC AND ARTS EDUCATION FOR
CHILDREN DIRECTLY AFFECTED BY 9/11 New York, NY, March 9, 2007:
Retro69 will host a Woodstock 69 tribute concert to benefit Feel
The Music a program of the World Foundation for Music and Healing (WFMH).
Feel The Music” helps children and teens directly affected by
September 11th express emotions in a creative and positive way by
providing music and are workshops, classes and lessons.
The concert will follow the genre from bands that performed at the
August 1969 Woodstock event. The music will run non-stop from 6:00 to
11:30 and include artists such as pianist Arturo Farrill,
percussionist Bashiri Johnson, Eddie Kaecher who played with "The
Band" at Woodstock 94, Earl Shelton of the Temptations, Valerie
Ghent, Helen Hooke, Ann Klein, Mary Lee Kortes, Erica VonKleist, and
Bar Scott along with Jimi Hendrix, the Who, Jefferson Airplane and The
Band tribute acts among others. The Benefit will take place at The
Triad located at 158 West 72nd Street between Columbus Avenue and
Central Park West.
