RETROFEST 23, PAYING TRIBUTE TO THE MONTEREY POP FESTIVAL TO
BENEFIT CANCERCARE'S LUNG CANCER

from the Festivals of the late 60s through early 70s.
On Saturday, April 10, 2010 from 9:00pm – 2:15am, Retro69, as
well as several other acts, will perform the music of the 1967
Monterey Pop Festival, just
in time for the legendary event’s 43rd Anniversary.
Whenever possible, the concert will
follow the order and instrumentation
from the original experience, including covers of the The Association, Lou Rawls, Johnny Rivers, The Animals, Simon and Garfunkel, Canned Heat, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Country Joe and the Fish, Al Kooper, The Butterfield Blues Band, The Electric Flag, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Steve Miller Band, Moby Grape, The Byrds, Laura Nyro, Jefferson Airplane,Booker T. & the MGs, Otis Redding, The Blues Project, Buffalo Springfield, The Who , The Grateful Dead, The Jimi Hendrix, The Mamas & the Papas

services including counseling, to help people with cancer and their

month struggle with aggressive lung cancer took her life in December
2006. Her daughter, Terri Cron is excited to have an event that not
only memorializes her mother but will also help spread awareness of
lung cancer, which takes more lives in the United States than breast
and prostate cancer combined.
